MISSION STATEMENT
Frontline Laboratory Network provides laboratory services across all sites of care (hospital, physician office, nursing home) based on the unique needs of the community and the local healthcare delivery system.
Each FLN member is accountable to their healthcare community for providing service excellence, test accuracy and reliability, and clinical expertise to maintain and improve the quality and cost effective delivery of patient care.
The FLN structure provides an efficient mechanism for payers to provide access to the laboratory testing resources of hospitals for their members and contracted providers.
FLN will realize its vision regarding integrated delivery systems based on the following core principles:
I The quality of laboratory services will be improved and sustained by:
    •  Providing real-time patient management through local pathology consultation
    •  Establishing local population-based normal ranges
    •  Minimizing false-positives and false-negatives
    •  Providing continuing medical education
    •  Maintaining continuity of care across all clinical settings
II Cost effective delivery of laboratory services will be achieved by maximizing lab     services performed at the local level by:
    •  Minimizing or eliminating unnecessary and redundant testing
    •  Decreasing turn-around time to eliminate repeat office visits
    •  Minimizing lost specimens
